Looking for the right software

Q:

QuickBooks isn't cutting it for my business anymore. I have a lot to manage, and I need some software that can help me. All my online searching hasn't gotten me very far. Any recommendations? I need inventory management help, too, for what it's worth.

A:

Sounds like you're drowning in spreadsheets. Stop paying for multiple systems that don’t give you the information you need when you need it. It’s time to upgrade to NetSuite by Oracle, the world’s No. 1 cloud business system. NetSuite gives you visibility and control over your financials, HR, inventory, e-commerce and more — all in one place — instantaneously.

Want to check it out? Let NetSuite show you how they’ll benefit your business with a free product tour at NetSuite.com/Kim.

Drowning in all these resumes

Q:

I need to hire someone, but I can barely manage all the resumes I get when I post a job online. I stick to the free sites to save cash, but I'm feeling like that's the wrong move. Any advice?

A:

You can attract a lot of candidates on those sites, but, as you've found, you won't necessarily get the right ones. It's a ton of work sorting through all of that! You might not even find anyone who fits the job.

When I'm hiring, I use LinkedIn Jobs. It can help by matching your role with qualified candidates so you can find the right person quickly. LinkedIn screens for skills and you can use a ton of different tools to narrow down your search. That means so much less work on your end.

Right now, you can post a job for FREE at LinkedIn.com/Kim.

Choosing a home security system

Q:

What would you suggest for home security for a 55+ disabled woman on a budget with no computer and little tech knowledge? What kind of features should I look for?

A:

You want two things: One, you don't need a computer to access and second, professional monitoring. I recommend SimpliSafe. It's super easy to set up, easy to use, and you don't need a computer or Wi-Fi for basic home security. Cellular-based monitoring is included in the monitoring price. That will cost you $14.99 per month. There are no contracts, so you can pause or cancel at any time.

For a limited time, save 20% on your SimpliSafe security system, and get your first month free when you sign up for Interactive Monitoring.
