The Season of Giving
From the 140 community members who participated in the 19th Amendment Project, to the record number of families who participated in this year’s Clyde’s Holiday by the Sea, the community has found solace and inspiration at CAM during the pandemic. We know that you, as a member of CAM’s community, understand the power of the arts, and we hope that you will choose to make CAM a part of your year-end giving this year. Your gift to CAM’s Year-End Giving Campaign has never been more important. During its six-month closure due to the pandemic, CAM operated at a loss of $50,000 a month, totaling at least $300,000 in lost income. Your gift now ensures the museum’s future. This fall, we asked our donors and volunteers to share with us why they give to CAM. CAM docent Jay Thanner and his wife Deborah Thanner summed up why they give to CAM:
“My wife and I donate to the Cameron Art Museum because we know that culture matters. The CAM is a gift to our community; a gift that gives back to us an ever-changing series of cultural experiences. We give because we know that although our relatively small donation might not make a difference, the combined contributions of many, many people like us actually will.”
As you can see, your gift makes a true difference in our community. Your tax deductible gift to the museum can do so much – from helping to fund an exhibition to making it possible for a child to participate in summer camp or an art class. Your support will make a real, lasting impact on our community by providing high-quality art opportunities for all. |

Virtual Floating Lantern Ceremony
