Trading in your old phone for the iPhone 16? Make sure you do this first

It's a smart way to maximize its value

If you have an old iPhone and plan to upgrade to the new iPhone 16, you might be thinking about trading in your current device with Apple to make the purchase a little easier on your wallet.

Apple offers some big discounts with trade-ins, but if your phone is damaged, you may get nothing. However, if you’re signed up to AppleCare Plus, repairing it first should make a big difference to the phone’s trade-in value. And if you don’t have AppleCare Plus, check the cost of repair as it could still work in your favor.

Although it's more effort, you could also sell your old iPhone to a third-party outfit like Gazelle or uSell, an option that often brings in even more cash ...

Disney+ deal: Only $2 per month for three months

It’s a great chance to explore the huge library of content on the popular streamer

Disney+ is offering three months of Disney+ Basic for only $2 per month instead of the regular fee of $8 per month, saving you a total of $18, Digital Trends reported. The promotion is open to both new and returning subscribers and runs through September 27.

The Netflix rival offers a massive library of content, not just from Disney itself but also Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, 21st Century Fox, and National Geographic.

There’s currently no option for a Disney+ free trial. Before this deal, the cheapest way to access the streaming service was through the Disney+ Basic plan for $8 per month with advertising.

Speak No Evil eyes box office success on its opening weekend

Movie site Empire describes it as 'a quality horror-suspense picture'

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice looks set to win the box office again this weekend after raking in a colossal $110 million when it opened in North America a week ago.

But vying for second spot is Speak No Evil, the highly-anticipated psychological thriller starring James McAvoy (Split), Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049), Scoot McNairy (12 Years A Slave), and Aisling Franciosi (Stopmotion), Collider reported.

It’s a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name in which a family gets invited to spend a weekend in an isolated home in the countryside. As the weekend progresses, the family begins to realize that their hosts have a dark side ...

Mega-hit Flappy Bird is returning to mobile after a decade

Yes, Flappy Bird will fly again!

A super-simple mobile game that took the world by storm before suddenly disappearing is set to make a return next year, Digital Trends reported.

Flappy Bird’s revival has been made possible by the Flappy Bird Foundation, a group of — that’s right — Flappy Bird fans who acquired the trademark, and Kek, the developer behind the 2011 game Piou Piou vs. Cactus, widely regarded as the inspiration for Flappy Bird.

The group said it’s releasing an expanded version of the challenging mobile platformer in 2025 on iOS and Android, with the aim to modernize and revamp the game without removing what made it so popular ...
