5 CES products you can purchase or preorder right now

While CES 2025 is famous for offering a glimpse into the future, some of the products showcased there are already available

A lot of the products on show at CES 2025 have far-off launch dates, but there’s actually a lot that you can already get your hands on — or at least preorder. Digital Trends has pulled together five such products, though be sure to check out the full list again as it’ll grow over the coming days.

For starters, there’s Lenovo’s wonderful Yoga Slim 9i laptop, which sports a unique camera under-display (CUD) screen (check it out in the video above) with an impressive 98% screen-to-body ratio. It costs t $1,760 and starts shipping at the end of this month. Read on for more ...

Out of shows and wondering what to watch in the New Year? Here’s what’s coming

It’s 2025, and the only thing that is sure to distract us from this strange reality we’ve found ourselves in is quality TV programming. And that’s why we’re highly recommending Sling Blue — the Sling package that focuses on quality entertainment — and its focused selection of channels that include favorites like FX, Bravo, and TLC. Right now, the plan is priced at $45.99, sort of. Like any quality show, there’s a hook, and right now that hook is you getting the first month at 50% off (at least for a limited time). Go ahead and tap the button below to see the plan yourself ...

MOBILE

These are two of the most ridiculous Android phones I’ve ever seen at CES

Some of the devices at the world's biggest tech show are just plain weird — but kinda interesting!

It’s cool to see big announcements from well-known brands at tech shows like CES, but it’s also fun to come across bizarre devices that you really weren’t expecting, so says Digital Trends’ mobile specialist Joe Maring.

Joe cites Oukitel’s WP200 Pro smartphone as a perfect example. Why? Because it has a display on the back that you can take out and wear as a smartwatch. Even more bizarrely, it also functions as a Bluetooth earpiece. Read on to learn out more about the the WP200 Pro, and also to discover Joe’s other crazy find at the show ...

The Valerion VisionMaster Max ascends the projector brand from Kickstarter to CES 2025

From Kickstarter darling to making its debut on the CES 2025 show floor, Valerion has announced its best projector yet

Making the leap from crowd-funding to the hallowed halls of CES 2025, Valerion has used the Las Vegas tech event to announce its most advanced projector to date: the Valerion VisionMaster Max, a $4,000 triple laser projector that's currently available for preorder, Digital Trends reported.

The Valerion VisionMaster Max features 3,000 ISO lumens of brightness beamed from its RGB triple laser light source that can project an image from 40 inches to a massive 300 inches. It also incorporates Google TV OS, granting access to popular streaming services and apps such as Netflix, Max, Hulu, and Apple TV+ ...

Tight race for box office glory this weekend

It's between Mufasa and newcomer Den of Thieves 2, though the former is tipped to edge it

In its fourth week of release, Mufasa remains a crowd-puller and is even tipped to win the domestic box office this weekend with revenue of up to $15 million, according to Boxoffice Pro. Making its debut, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera should rake in a similar amount, though Boxoffice Pro believes the action thriller is most likely to place second, saying: “Early reactions peg the film as fun 'junk food,' but since the first entry only scored 41% on Rotten Tomatoes, don’t expect an avalanche of praise for what is essentially a B-level programmer.”

Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is forecast to slip to third place, with ticket sales of up to $13 million ...

GAMING

Forget the ‘big 3’ — it’s just big Steam

Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony have long been dubbed the 'big three' of gaming. After CES 2025, Valve now sits at the head of that table

At CES 2025, Valve announced SteamOS compatibility with various handhelds, making its ecosystem accessible beyond the Steam Deck device. “It’s Steam’s new initiative to spread SteamOS that stands to make it the centerpiece of the video game world,” writes Digital Trends’ gaming specialist Giovanni Colantonio. “The idea is that players will no longer need to own a Steam Deck to benefit from Valve’s ecosystem.”

Valve's strategy is similar to efforts by Sony and Microsoft to build unified ecosystems, but it's surpassing them by dominating the handheld market and shaping the strategies of third-party publishers. While the big three remain relevant, Valve is positioning itself as the leader steering gaming's future ...
