Microsoft to unveil its vision for AI PCs

The annual Build event will kick off with a keynote presentation on Tuesday, May 21

Microsoft’s Build developer conference begins on Tuesday and — just like last week’s events from OpenAI and Google — it's expected to be heavy on AI announcements, CNBC reported.

As the news outlet noted, Microsoft has a clear advantage over many of its competitors in the fast-growing AI sector due to its ownership of Windows giving it a huge PC userbase.

The computer giant has already a shared a description of what to expect, saying that CEO Satya Nadella and other top executives will be sharing “how this era of AI will unlock new opportunities, transform how developers work, and drive business productivity across industries" ...

Apple may release a completely new type of iPhone in 2025

The iPhone 16 isn't even out yet, but attention is already shifting to the iPhone 17

The iPhone rumor mill turns so rapidly that there’s already plenty of talk about the iPhone 17, which is expected to drop in the fall of 2025.

The latest report, this one from The Information, claims that Apple is developing “a significantly thinner version” of its popular smartphone. It would sit alongside its current range and could cost more than the iPhone Pro Max, currently the company’s priciest handset at $1,200.

Besides its slimness, the phone will reportedly also have a smaller Dynamic Island cutout on the display, with the rear camera possibly moving from the upper-left corner to the top center ...

No, it's not an update to its widely panned app. Company set to reveal a pair of wireless cans

Sonos will announce a new device on Tuesday that's expected to mark its highly anticipated entry into the premium headphones market.

Fantasy-comedy IF tops the weekend box office

The movie follows neighbors Cal and Bea, who can see other people’s imaginary friends

Director John Krasinski‘s IF fell slightly short of box office expectations, taking in $35 million in North America on its opening weekend, Variety reported.

The fantasy-comedy nevertheless topped the weekend box office despite the “wobbly start for a movie that cost $110 million to make and many millions more to market," the entertainment news site said.

Last weekend’s box office winner, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, slipped to second spot with $26 million, while horror flick The Strangers: Chapter 1 took third place with a $12 million take in North America ...

Valve's next game looks to have leaked

However, the company has yet to make any public comment about the rumored title

Valve’s next game is believed to be a multiplayer hero shooter called Deadlock, PC Gamer reported.

The news comes via recently leaked gameplay details and early screenshots of the project. The new game is described in multiple reports as a third-person shooter that takes inspiration from Overwatch, Team Fortress 2, and Dota 2.

Valve-focused content creator Gabe Follower commented on what he’s seen of Deadlock, describing "6 vs 6 battling on huge maps with 4 lanes. Usable abilities and items. Tower defense mechanics ... Fantasy setting mixed with steampunk. Magicians, weird creatures and robots. Fast-travel using floating rails, similar to Bioshock Infinite" ...
