White-knuckle driving is part of the adventure
SR-60-traffic-jam-small
There is something about navigating an 11-ton vehicle towing a two-ton car at 65 miles per hour as trucks wiz by inches away and cars pass with drivers and passengers intentionally giving me the one-finger salute that makes me just a tad bit nervous.

Cheap RV Living: Converting an Astro mini-van
SONY DSC
(March 14, 2016) - I'm doing a series of posts on living and traveling in vans and other tiny places, and an Astro mini-van qualifies as a tiny space! As small as it is, it has a higher roof than most mini-vans which gives you a lot of potential vertical space.
Live Laugh RV: Computer woes
pleasant-sunset-4025
(March 14, 2016) - I was resisting the thought of getting a new computer and learning Windows 10. Just thinking about it had me walking, rather running, in another direction. The mere thought of dealing with technology change almost had me breaking out in hives.
The Fit RV: Turkey spinach omelet in a mug
Microwave-Spinach-Omelets-in-a-Mug-640x360
(March 14, 2016) - With just a microwave, a mug, and a bunch of tasty ingredients, you can actually make an entire meal, just like that. I'm pretty sure my attraction to cooking in a mug all stems from laziness. Mug cooking is faster, easier, and takes much less time in the dreaded clean-up phase.

Love Your RV: Bad smell coming from under the RV sink?
Smell-under-the-RV-sink-repair-howto-feature-photo
(March 14, 2016) - Larry has been trying to solve a bad smell beneath the sink himself and believes he has narrowed it down to a plumbing part called an Anti-Siphon Trap Vent Device (ASTVD). Yes, quite the mouth full, but actually a very simple little plumbing part.
Carefree Communities: Take a break with riptide
0313_riptide-eba1cfd8
(March 14, 2016) - Florida is a hugely popular spring break destination. People travel from all over the state to experience the many things our beautiful state offers, like Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens and the Everglades (how cool is that last one?!) Those places are likely to be backed (almost year 'round) so if you'd rather have a more tame vacation, we've got some stunning beaches that deserve your attention.
Gypsy Journal RV: Playing hooky
Lug-nut-covers-small
(March 14, 2016) - I had pretty much been chained to my desk for three days getting my new Big Lake mystery novel done. And even though I wanted to finish the read-through before I handed it off to Miss Terry so she could start editing and proofing it, we both really needed a day off. So yesterday we played hooky.

Roadmaster towbars look better, last longer
Roadtreking: Spring starts in Alabama
dogwood
(March 14, 2016) - Jennifer and I have a silly little game we play on our first RV trip south each year as we escape the long Midwestern winter. We go on a search for spring.
Technomadia: Seminole Canyon State Park - Comstock, Tex.
IMG_0949
(March 14, 2016) - On this particular repositioning, we know we need to keep 'heading east' and we'll likely eventually make it to Florida. (You do start to learn these complex navigational things after so many years on the road.)
Do It Yourself RV: Use bungee cords to make more room in a tight shower
Shower-curtain
(March 14, 2016) - As you might think, showering inside a converted bus can be a challenge. Besides the difficulty of installing plumbed running water, there's the issue of space. Showering space.
