There are ample hiking and kayaking opportunities at the park. In fact, last year the park celebrated its 50th anniversary and marked the occasion with a 50 miles for 50 years challenge where people can hike, bike and paddle along the hundreds of miles of trails in the park.

AZ Central: Top 7 things to do around Arizona this spring
635948752639096023-0402-spring-events-naylor-7
(April 1, 2016) - For much of the state, spring began on Groundhog Day. But even with several weeks of the softest season already under our belts, there's no reason to let go now that the calendar has finally caught up. Revel in the renewal and rebirth of spring as long as you can.
Aluminarium: McKinnley Falls
desk
(April 1, 2016) - We've spent the last 2 weeks camping at McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Tex. We had been here once before 10 years ago in February. Not much has changed, though I definitely recommend coming in March. During this visit, the campground was lush green, and the blue bonnets were in bloom.
Straight: Vancouver artist Angela Fama hits the road for love
art_fama_2518
(April 1, 2016) - A photographer with a background in illustration, Fama decided to tackle the subject in a way that only a crazily ambitious artist would dream of: through an epic, 17,000-kilometre-plus road trip across North America, where she'd snap images of strangers in her 1977 RV turned makeshift photo studio along the way.

Watson Wander: Boondocking success and Slot Canyon Mania

(April 1, 2016) - Our first stop was at the national monument visitor center at the edge of town. We hoped to get some maps of the area along with information about the rumored permits needed to disperse camp on monument land. Well, it turns out that the visitor center is not open on the weekends this time of year.
Tehcnomadia: My 10th nomadiversary.... and a glimpse of what's next
162653093_da6d96ed5a_b
(April 1, 2016) - I left behind a somewhat conventional life thriving in the madness of Silicon Valley and San Francisco, heading out into the unknown to technomadically make my way in the world.
Roadtreking: Adding a wall clock to your RV
Sky-Scan-with-outsoor-sensor

Interstellar Orchard: Boondocking safety
boondocking-safety
(April 1, 2016) - In short, I don't think boondocking is any less safe than any other kind of camping. The lower population density out in the desert means fewer marks for criminals, and they'd have to drive farther to find them.
RV Life: A thrill to grill
camco-table
(April 1, 2016) - The Deluxe Grilling Table from Camco allows chefs du jour to easily prepare, cook and entertain for families and friends thanks to its many convenient features and functions.
Gypsy Journal RV: Rain on the roof
close up rain water drop falling to the floor in rainy season
(April 1, 2016) - Is there any better way to sleep than with the sound of rain on the roof of your RV? If there is, I haven't found it yet. It beats the heck out of any kind of over-the-counter or prescription sleep aid ever invented as far as I'm concerned.
