Good morning, New Orleans.

A new database of flood risk for homes and properties in the U.S. has a tiny bit of good news and a lot of bad new for Louisiana.

First, the good news: the number of properties in the state at substnatial risk of flooding according to federal flood maps isn't as high as they say it is.

But the bad news? Louisiana No. 2 in terms of the proportion of properties with substantial flood risk.

Even worse, the number of properties with that designation is projected to skyrocket by 2050.
