Greer company acquired by N.C. manufacturer

MW Industries, a Charlotte-based provider of precision components, acquired Greer’s Duer Carolina Coil, a manufacturer of hot and cold wound springs, on Friday. The acquisition will boost MW Industries’ existing portfolio of businesses offering engineered spring solutions for the automotive, heavy truck, defense, valve and agricultural markets from more than 30 locations worldwide.

Upstate tech companies recognized for vigor

The Tech Tribune recognized four Greenville companies in its lineup of 2021 Best Tech Startups in South Carolina with telehealth titan Chartspan and data service provider Green Cloud Defense seizing the first and second respective spots but with close competition from two rising Upstate stars.
