GSP ranked 20th busiest cargo hub in the nation

The executive team at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport did not know in 2019 how well their $33 million investment in a new 110,000-square-foot cargo facility and 17 acres of apron would pay off in 2020 as travel restrictions went up and passenger flights came down. In September alone, cargo volume increased by 87% over September 2019.

CommunityWorks gets a share of massive donation

Greenville’s CommunityWorks was selected among 384 organizations across the United States to receive part of a $4.2 billion donation from MacKenzie Scott, a writer and philanthropist formerly married to Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.

Richland County purchases 429 acres of industrial land

Richland County has purchased more than 400 acres of industrial land at the intersection of Shop Road and Longwood Road in Columbia. The 429 acre-tract, sold for $5.92 million, was purchased from Garners Ferry Development and the Wyman Boozer estate.

Minority Business Accelerator cohort chosen for 2021

The ninth class of the Greenville Chamber's Minority Business Accelerator recently graduated and last week the chamber named the eight small business owners set to take their place in the class for 2021.The new class will kick off the program in January with six months of coursework under the Interise StreetWise MBA curriculum program.
