The S&P 500 slid 0.1% in Wednesday's session while the Nasdaq added 0.1% and the Dow fell 0.2%. Today, futures are on the rise ahead of the opening bell with S&P 500 contracts showing a 0.5% gain.
Today, the market will be watching for this week's jobless claims report. The durable goods orders report for May also comes out today, and it will give investors some insight into the demand for high-ticket products.
We also have a couple of prominent names reporting earnings today, including several Dow components. They're scheduled to release their quarterly numbers after the closing bell.
