Good evening,

Good evening,

It’s a big week for Suncorp Group boss Steve Johnston, who’s set to unveil the latest in a string of strategy updates.

This time the focus is expected to fall on job cuts. After reviewing the business with the help of Bain & Company, Street Talk can reveal there are some changes afoot.

The axe is set to fall on hundreds of jobs later this week - with sources close to the situation putting it at about 5 per cent of the group’s 13,500 strong workforce.

Back in deals, Dexus has ramped up its push for an AMP Capital real estate fund in a move that plenty of other property and infrastructure managers will watch closely.

And Juan Martinez - of HWL Ebsworth - is expected to make a forthright pitch to fund managers this week ahead of a mooted IPO. We have a bunch of fresh details, including the company’s new name.

Happy reading,
Sarah Thompson, Anthony Macdonald and Tim Boyd
