| John,
I’m Ericka Cruz Guevarra, aka ECG. You may know me as the new host of our podcast The Bay. On behalf of everyone at KQED, I want to thank you for being a member of our community.
I fell in love with the mission of public media as a student at San Francisco State. I took a class called “Social Impact of Journalism.” I learned about the unique power of news and programming funded by everyday people. That’s when I decided I wanted to work at KQED.
As you know, KQED members help make your favorite programs accessible to our whole region. Will you become a sustaining member today?
For the next two weeks, thanks to a group of anonymous KQED donors, we’re holding the February Monthly Giving Challenge. Our goal is to welcome 250 new monthly sustaining members by February 15. Each new sustainer will unlock a matching gift of $100 — that means up to $25,000 in additional funding for KQED!
I’m not just a host — I’m a public media lover like you. From local programs like The Bay and The California Report to national PBS and NPR favorites like NOVA and Fresh Air, public media produces stories that challenge what we believe about the world.
Making a monthly sustaining gift is the easiest way to invest in the future of the programs you love. It’s convenient and ensures your membership will never lapse. And, as an added bonus, you’ll get to feel a sense of pride each month knowing you’re investing in the future of public media for everyone in Northern California.
Together we impact our community in a powerful way.
As a member of the KQED community, I’m sure you love the mission of public media as much as I do. Please start your membership today by making a monthly sustaining gift!
With thanks,
Ericka Cruz Guevarra
P.S. The February Monthly Giving Challenge deadline is February 15. We have just two weeks to reach 250 new monthly sustaining members and unlock the full $25,000 match! Your monthly gift unlocks $100 for our station. Please become a sustainer today!
