Jordan Dajani joins me to break down his list of the Top 10 linebackers in the NFL entering the 2020 season. Luke Kuechly leaves a big void to fill, but there's plenty of talented guys that are worthy of top spot.
Everyone likes to talk about the biggest bargain contract (which always seems to be players on their rookie deals), but I believe those steals are far outweighed by the dead weight that comes along with overpaid veteran players. For example, the Giants tried to fix a dire left tackle situation two offseasons again by making Nate Solder the highest-paid tackle in the NFL (as the Patriots laughed to the bank while letting him walk away) and they STILL can't get out of the contract without a ton of dead cap space until next offseason at the earliest. Solder, of course, made John Breech's list of the 10 most overpaid players heading into 2020. However, what was most shocking to me was just how many skill position players (running back, wide receivers) made the list.
By now we're all well aware of the New England Patriots' recent dynasty, and anyone can pinpoint Bill Belichick or Tom Brady as the greatest head coach and quarterback, respectively, but how about the greatest Patriots left tackle of all time? How about their best safety? Better yet -- any shot you can pinpoint the 53 best players to ever wear a Patriots uniform? Tyler Sullivan took that upon himself and he knocked this one out of the park.

We knew it was coming at some point -- a big-name NFL star could decide to actually sit out the entire Covid-impacted 2020 season. However, we were all waiting on the ball to drop regarding why a said player would skip the season and who it would be. Well we now know that Texans star defensive lineman J.J. Watt is could be the first big name to sit out the 2020 season if the NFL institutes one key rule for all players to follow. John Breech dives into what it would take for Watt to sit and what that might mean for the rest of the league.
