Good evening

There have been eight additional Covid-19 related deaths recorded in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours the Department of Health has confirmed. That sad news comes as it was revealed on the Department's coronavirus reporting dashboard the two of Northern Ireland's major hospitals currently have no ICU bed capacity.

With NI due to exit ts current ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown on November 13 the Chief Medical Officer, Michael McBride has stated it will ‘not be possible to keep R below 1 with a return to schools and keeping hospitality open’.

He went on to say “We will look at the evidence and we will advise on the basis of the evidence and then the executive will have to make the choices which balance up the needs of our health service'.

Difficult choices ahead for the Executive.

Stay safe
