BY DOUG GRAHAM | Staff writer Even as the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is seeing a steady increase in the number of clients seeking help each month, the nonprofit is having to reduce the amount of food it can provide in the face of cuts to federal aid. Organizers say the impact from ongoing inflation, rising food costs and a 40% reduction in federal food support since 2024 has pushed more residents into food insecurity. Now, the food bank is having to cut back on its distribution for the second time in the past year. Read more about how this impacts the area.
