There's still time to make a bid in our timed online modern and contemporary art auction
Enter www.the-saleroom.com/halls and simply select the light green ‘connect to auction’ button next to The Modern and Contemporary Art Auction at the bottom right hand side of the page. If you are not already registered with the-saleroom you will need to register.
You only need to register if you wish to bid in the auction. There’s no need to register to view a live auction online, but once you have set up your account you are ready to go just in case!
Bidders can view an auction by first clicking the black and white ‘view catalogue’ button.
You can contact the auctioneer directly via the-saleroom.com if you would like a condition report for particular lots.
All you need to do then is decide how much you want to pay for your desired lot.
The Price Guide is a useful indicator of the sums similar items have sold for in the past.
Please note there is a 30% buyer’s premium which includes VAT/sales tax
What is timed bidding?
The-saleroom.com will notify you if another bidder places a bid that is higher than your maximum bid. Your maximum bid is kept confidential until it is exceeded by another bidder.
The-saleroom.com will automatically bid on your behalf only as much as necessary to ensure that you meet the reserve price or that you remain in the lead; up to your maximum bid.
Timed auctions take place without an auctioneer calling the sale. You can bid at any time during the defined time period by entering a maximum bid which is the highest amount you're willing to pay for the lot.

With two auctions a month we are always looking for items to include in our collections. If you are in any doubt, bring your items along and we shall help you take the first step in selling at auction.
Whether you need a valuation for one item or a whole house full, we are here to help.
The first thing we need to know is what sort or valuation would you like? The main types we deal with are valuations for auction, insurance and probate.
We offer free auction advice and estimates, without obligation, to help you decide whether or not to sell at auction.
If you have images of your items we have an online valuation form where you can upload them and any information you would like the specialist to have. This way they can contact you directly with a valuation.
If you are able to transport your items and would like to be able to leave it with us on the day, if you choose to sell, then this is for you.
Come along any Monday (except Bank Holidays) between 10am-1pm to our Battlefield salerooms, no appointment necessary, and we’ll advise you on your next step.
