Report: S&P 500 CEOs make 287 times that of most workers
The AFL-CIO's annual Executive Paywatch report found that the average S&P 500 CEO made 287 times what the typical American worker made in 2018. Mark Perry of the American Enterprise Institute said the report is misleading and should use the median CEO pay instead of the average, which is $12.4 million for 2018 rather than $14.5 million.
