Trade expectations: it's going to get tougher to find tradies

Anyone doing home renovations knows how tough it can be to secure a prompt - and affordable - tradie. But it could get worse. Peter Brewer reports the core technical trades of plumbing, electrical and carpentry are running headlong toward a crisis.

The ACT government has confirmed it is investigating alleged unethical behaviour by a company authorised to operate public shared e-scooters. Jasper Lindell writes Beam Motility allegedly used "phantom" scooters to avoid paying government fees. The operator is being investigated by at least five local governments in Australia and New Zealand.
