Dear friend, Yoni Gilboa here from ZAKA Tel-Aviv, I hope all is well. This morning, a tragic incident occurred during El Al flight LY81 from Israel to Thailand. A 59-year-old passenger aboard the flight suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Among the passengers was our fellow volunteer, Yosef Dorfman. Yosef, armed with his training immediately sprang into action. He, along with another medic and a doctor onboard, performed CPR in an attempt to save the passenger's life. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the passenger could not be revived. In the face of this tragedy, Yosef showed exceptional dedication and sensitivity. He did everything possible to revive the passenger, and ensured the passenger's body was treated with the utmost dignity until landing. Yosef's courageous actions are a reflection of ZAKA Tel-Aviv's core values. This incident shows the importance of our mission. Please consider honoring Yosef's service with a donation today, supporting our volunteers' training and emergency response resources. |
