Payment schedule finalized for Mallinckrodt settlement

The opioid manufacturer will pay $450 million upon its emergence from bankruptcy as part of a $1.6 billion agreement with 47 state attorneys general and U.S. territories. How much each state will receive is still being negotiated. 

USC graduate student named fellowship recipient

Ansley Kamau Pope is the 2020 recipient of the Richland Library Friends and Foundation’s Ethel Bolden Minority Fellowship. The fellowship, which supports students from underserved groups and runs through May 2021, includes a $3,500 prize.
