Trans health care ban revived in the Senate

By Jessica Williams | Capitol News Bureau Editor

Trans care ban revived: The state Senate has revived a proposed ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, after a Senate panel killed the ban last week, James Finn reports. A different Senate panel will consider the ban on Friday. The House did so after one college leader called the request racist.

Gov. Jason Williams?: Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams is considering a bid for governor because he thinks Jeff Landry is dangerous, Tyler Bridges reports. Gov. John Bel Edwards, who is supporting candidate Shawn Wilson, says a Williams bid would be a mistake.
