Airports must maintain compliance with environmental regulations associated with deicing operations. TRB is hosting a webinar on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will discuss an adaptive management planning approach for deicing operations at airports, based upon a Best Management Practices (BMPs) framework. Presenters will describe five categories of BMPs: aircraft deicing source reduction, airfield pavement deicing source reduction, deicing stormwater runoff containment and collection, deicing runoff treatment and recycling, and deicing runoff system components.
