TRB Webinar: Rapid Testing for Asphalt-Treated Cold Recycled Pavements

Pavement recycling offers significant economic and environmental benefits. It reduces material and energy consumption and construction costs. Both rapid testing and using the recycling process can also prevent user delays as compared to hot mix asphalt paving. TRB will host a webinar on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that will discuss a series of rapid tests for asphalt-treated recycled pavements to assess the time to opening to traffic and time to surfacing a newly constructed recycled layer. Presenters will discuss using these tests for full depth reclamation, cold in-place recycling, and cold central plant recycling. They will explain how the tests were developed, how their threshold values were established, and how to use the tests in the field.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Asphalt Construction and Rehabilitation.
