Older workers are retiring in droves, and new employees are not entering the aviation workforce swiftly enough to replace those leaving. TRB is hosting a webinar on Monday, August 6, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will identify ways to address the labor shortage by fostering the next generation of aviation professionals, including pilots, mechanics, and airport managers. This webinar will discuss engaging students by piquing their interest in the aviation industry at a young age. Presenters will highlight activities that state agencies, airports, and educators may use to develop and sustain strategies that promote aviation as a career.
