TRB Webinar: Right-sizing transportation investments Identifying right-sizing opportunities in the transportation sector can lead to social and economic value by repurposing, reusing, or fundamentally resizing existing transportation system assets. TRB is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, March 11, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will explore how to right-size transportation investments. Right-sizing involves asset management and system planning, as well as design and project development functions. Presenters will diagnose how an agencyâs asset portfolio may no longer be expected to generate economic returns to justify anticipated improvement or preservation costs, and develop and assess options to right-size. They will also describe how to implement right-sizing solutions in collaboration with allied agencies and other jurisdictions.  This webinar draws on research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Research Report 917: Right-Sizing Transportation Investments: A Guidebook for Planning and Programming. Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
