TRB Webinar: The Day of the Drones - Airports and Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Part 2 Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) activity is expanding. These rapid and large-scale changes may affect the safety of people and property. TRB is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will address the U.S. Federal Aviation Administrations integration efforts, which have direct implications for airport operators. These integration efforts include counter-UAS mechanisms, remote identification and tracking, and airspace authorization waivers. Presenters will suggest specific planning, operational, and infrastructure guidelines to safely integrate existing and anticipated UAS operations into an airport environment. This is the second in a two-part webinar series that follows The Day of the Drones: Airports and Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Part 1. The webinar features research from ACRP Research Report 212, Volume 2: Planning Guidebook, and Volume 3: Potential Use of UAS by Airport Operators.
