Transportation agencies constantly make trade-off decisions related to asset types, priorities, investment needs, and risk. TRB will host a webinar on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that will discuss the basic principles of maintenance planning of road infrastructure assets. An international panel of presenters will explain how they have leveraged the Life-Cycle Planning framework and Maintenance Management Systems to support trade-off decisions using a data-informed approach. These systems integrate with GIS, prepopulate the work plan with physical assets, and optimize maintenance expenditure and renewal treatments to provide the target performance levels within a budget. Presenters will discuss forthcoming tools, which will streamline the process even more.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Maintenance Management Systems.
