Trevor Noah may be living the Hollywood dream now, but the comedian admits the journey has not been an easy one. In a new interview, Trevor opened up about what it was really like when he first took over The Daily Show, saying: "Everybody hated me." And while he wouldn't share much about his relationship status, Trevor did share his thoughts on having kids.

In a sit-down interview with CBS News, Trevor Noah opened up about what it was really like when he first took over The Daily Show in 2015, how he manages his depression and whether or not he wants kids.
 

Speaking to Lesley Stahl, Trevor was candid about the negative response he received when he first took over The Daily Show from Jon Stewart, saying that he initially thought it was a "terrible" decision.
 

"Oh, I mean, everybody hated me," the comedian says about his early days behind the desk of the late-night show. 
 

"People didn't even know me, and they hated the idea of me."
