Trial lawyers line up behind Jeff Landry

Lawyers for Landry: Trial lawyers gave heavily to elect Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards. Now, they are heaping money on Republican gubernatorial frontrunner Jeff Landry, Tyler Bridges and Sam Karlin report. That's troublesome for Shawn Wilson, who is running for governor as Edwards' political heir. 


Death penalty support: Most Louisiana voters oppose Edwards' plan to grant death row prisoners life in prison  instead of the death sentence, a new poll shows. James Finn reports that 52% of likely voters are against that idea.
