Greetings! If you get my daily travel tip newsletter, then you know my family and I just returned from two incredible weeks in Europe. We went to six countries in 12 days and the photo above is from our seven-hour layover in Munich. Instead of passing the time in the airport or lounge, we got a hotel room at the Hilton MUC. We dropped our bags off and took the S8 into the city, grabbed lunch, some pretzels and then we all took showers in the hotel before our 8-hour and 15-minute flight to Toronto. I have tons of trip reports to write and I just finished Part One ... an introduction to our trip and a detailed account, chock-full of tips about flying Air Canada's Premium Economy from Toronto to Barcelona. It was such a busy trip that I missed sending two newsletters this week so please forgive me. If you're traveling like everyone else it seems, then you probably didn't even miss it. Did you see that the TSA broke the single day record for highest number of passengers screened on Friday? I hope you didn't get caught up in the chaos, especially United Airlines' epic meltdown. I still can't believe their CEO took a private jet to escape NYC. Unfortunately, there are still weather problems and United and Newark are leading the world so far today in terms of delays and cancelations. United has also extended their travel waivers for by another day for these airports: Baltimore, MD (BWI), New York/Newark, NJ (EWR), New York-Kennedy, NY (JFK), New York-LaGuardia, NY (LGA), Philadelphia, PA (PHL), Washington, DC - Dulles (IAD), Washington-National, DC (DCA), White Plains, NY (HPN). This allows travelers to change their ticket for free. |

🦟 Wednesday Pack Tweezers and This Gadget to Naturally Take Care of Bug Bites I'm in Italy and while walking on a dock this morning to take a dip in the warm Mediterranean Sea, I got a splinter. It hurt like heck, but I didn't have sharp tweezers (always pack them) in my toiletry bag. Fortunately, I had some other tools including The Bug Bite Thing ($9), which helped bring it to the surface, even though its main purpose is to relieve mosquito bites. Here's my post on it. |
