Dear friend and supporter,
As Israel continues to fight a prolonged and costly war, the nation’s stability faces new risks due to the emigration of essential professionals. Recent analysis highlights that even a small exodus of Israel’s most critical workers—those in high-tech, healthcare, and academia—would lead to severe economic repercussions. Disturbingly, reports suggest this shift has already begun, as many of these skilled individuals seek more secure environments abroad.
The high-tech sector, which accounts for nearly half of Israel’s exports, relies on just 6% of the workforce. Healthcare professionals, only 0.6% of the adult population, are equally irreplaceable in ensuring the nation’s health and safety. Likewise, senior faculty at research universities, who constitute a mere 0.1% of adults, are vital in training Israel’s next generation. As this talent pool shrinks, Israel risks losing its cutting-edge industries, quality healthcare, and educational leadership—all pillars of a robust economy and society.
Already, these changes are being felt by those with the least resources. Families, elderly citizens, and Holocaust survivors are seeing costs rise and support diminish amid an uncertain future. Feed Israel’s role has never been more critical.
In recent weeks, our volunteers have distributed thousands of emergency supply packages containing essentials like food, water, hygiene products, and emergency supplies. Requests have not stopped and as we continue to delivering these packages across Israel. For many, this assistance has been life-sustaining, but we urgently need support to continue reaching those most in need.
