Former President Donald Trump has spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin as many as seven times since leaving the White House, including as recently as this year, according to a new book by journalist Bob Woodward.

The book, a dramatic account of the White House under both President Joe Biden and Trump, details how Trump’s relationship with Putin has continued into the 2024 campaign and amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The book also says that Trump secretly sent Putin testing equipment for the coronavirus at the height of the pandemic.
