Maine Veterans’ Homes is finally getting aid that lawmakers approved in 2023. The Mills administration did not say why it took so long to commit the money, but some of it will arrive this week after lawmakers contacted state officials. A former Maine politician’s law license was suspended for alleged misconduct. The order, written by the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar and approved by a judge, cites 10 violations.
