| | President Donald Trump told reporters he wants Republican Senate leaders to do "whatever they think is necessary" to get to a decision on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court. Trump also said he found Christine Blasey Ford's testimony â in which she accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault â "compelling," even as he stood by his nominee. Trump, whose approval would be needed for any FBI investigation of Kavanaugh, said he would leave the decision to senators to make.
