Voornaam,

The House of Representatives has voted to impeach Donald Trump, making him the first President of the United States to be impeached twice.

The entire House Democratic Caucus – including all four of Oregon's Democratic Representatives — voted unanimously to impeach. Ten Republicans joined them. Cliff Bentz did not, marking the second time in his less than two weeks in office that he's failed Oregonians with his vote.

Bentz had no problem voting to throw out the legally cast ballots of nearly 7 million Americans on his third day in office. But now he calls holding Trump accountable for inciting an insurrection against a co-equal branch of government a "rush to judgement."

Let's be clear: We must hold the people responsible for last week's attack on our Capitol accountable. That includes Donald Trump.

Every moment Trump remains as president poses a grave threat to our democracy. The House responded to this urgency and impeached Donald Trump. Now it's time for the Senate to convict and remove him from office.
