| With MeidasTouch, 3 Brothers Are Creating Visceral Ads by Using Trump's Words Against Him | |
| | What do an attorney for Colin Kaepernick, a former editor for Ellen DeGeneres and an agency account exec having in common? While there's probably a joke there somewhere, the real answer is that they're all brothers—and the co-creators of a new political group that's generating some of the year's most viral political ads. Calling themselves MeidasTouch, the Meiselas brothers have averaged over a million views across the 20 political ads they've targeted at President Trump since launching their video-production PAC a little over a month ago. If you move in certain circles on Twitter, you've probably seen at least one of their videos, most of which use Trump's own speeches and media appearances as a soundtrack to contrast his words with the unrest and international tension that's arisen during his presidency. You can learn more about their process and the moments that pushed their content into the mainstream in my exclusive article on the rise of MeidasTouch.
