The first half against Argentina was so good, so enterprising and joyful, that it would have been nice to end Scotlandâs season at half-time. The second half was a bit disappointing, as often happens when a team has all but won the game by the interval; there tends to be an unconscious relaxation. So the best thing one can say about the second 40 minutes is that the Scottish players got lots of tackling practice, and defended pretty well. |
