Trump in New Orleans: Former President Donald Trump paid a quick visit to New Orleans on Monday, raising millions of dollars for his presidential campaign while rubbing elbows with some of his wealthiest Louisiana supporters at the Uptown home of business owner Boysie Bollinger. Wetlands assimilation: About a dozen wastewater treatment plants in the state rely on a somewhat unique-to-Louisiana method called “wetlands assimilation," during which wastewater containing high levels of nitrogen and phosphorus — plant food, essentially — is discharged into nearby swamps with the goal of promoting growth.
