Storm fades; temps will ramp up over the weekend. The start of April hasn’t been so springy, but our warm weather will return after today’s storm -- with plenty of sunshine, and highs in the 40s and 50s respectively on Saturday and Sunday. It'll be a bit breezy on Sunday, with wind gusts of 12-18 mph blowing.

Tim Walz held a video conference Friday ahead of the daily briefing, urging Minnesotans to keep their guard up during the COVID-19 outbreak in the state. Thursday's presidential order directs FEMA to "use any and all authority available under the act to acquire, from … 3M Company, the number of N95 respirators that the Administrator determines to be appropriate."

“The narrative that we're not doing everything to maximize delivery of respirators in our home country is false. Nothing could be further from the truth,” 3M CEO Mike Roman told MPR News’ Tom Crann.

The move, which comes after students complained the U wasn't offering fair refunds, will cost the school about $27.8 million

Events canceled, businesses closed, ads are being pulled; Local news takes hit in midst of coronavirus coverage. Newspapers, which have become critical ways for the public to access information during the coronavirus pandemic, are getting squeezed in the shrinking economy. "You’ve got people who are no longer in business, not advertising. … You’ve got the inserts that are gone.”
