Trump tariffs It's the subject everyone has been talking about - US president Donald Trump's crippling tariffs on countries worldwide, including the UK, which yesterday sent stock markets tumbling. Here, we investigate the impact the move is already having on Scottish firms. Social care black hole The social care sector in Scotland is also facing major financial woes, due to a £560 million black hole in its finances. Our deputy politics editor, David Bol, reports on fears of a "total meltdown", with health secretary Neil Gray having accused of having “pushed vital local services to the brink” by “chronic underfunding and a lack of leadership”. Cruise ship boost One Scottish city is bracing itself for more than a tenfold increase in cruise ship passengers this summer. A £420 million port expansion has allowed for a surge in cruise business, with 64 cruise ships due this year - up from 22 that anchored in the city in 2022. And finally...
