Don't put away your summer clothes just yet. 70s back tomorrow. Skies tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the 40s. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny for much of the state and highs will be in the upper 60s to the upper 70s, although it'll be cooler in northeastern Minnesota.

Fairview to shut Bethesda, St. Joseph's hospitals in St. Paul. The state’s largest hospital network said it lost $163 million in the first half of 2020. Fairview is shutting down Bethesda Hospital, which is currently its designated COVID-19-care hospital in St. Paul. Patients with COVID-19 will be redirected to St. Joseph’s in downtown St. Paul through at least next year.

The long-term plan calls for converting St. Joseph’s into a community wellness center. Fairview is also closing 14 clinics in Minnesota and two in Wisconsin.

Another day of record COVID-19 cases: Nearly 1K new cases reported today. The seven-day rolling average is over 1,000 again, for the seventh straight day, with Monday's 982 newly confirmed cases. The good news: that number coincides with record testing, as the state has launched widespread community testing, with the first of its saliva-based testing centers in recent weeks.
