View in browser January 5, 2021 Republicans need to win just one of the two Senate races in Georgia to keep the majority — but President Donald Trump doesn't care about that. He's still focused on his loss to President-elect Joe Biden in November. And he's spent every day since then trying to stay in office, no matter what the cost.
Trump has bullied and pressured his party's members to support his lies, all but screaming at them that they're nothing without him.
"For all his delusions of grandeur, Trump knows this truth deeply and intuitively," Hayes Brown writes in his newest essay. "And the second that seems like it isn't the case, he will sabotage anyone and anything that threatens him." That willingness extends up to, and includes, the Republican Party itself.
