Policy, policy, policy - it's that time of year again.
We are getting very close to our Public Policy Success course, which will delve into the skills needed for the development of successful public policy. The course includes a great line up of guest speakers who will share their experience in public policy, as well as course facilitation by Dr Randal Stewart.
And for anyone living anywhere in Tasmania with an interest in policy, Randal will also be making a ‘one off’ presentation on The rise of big ‘C’ conservatism – what does it mean for public servants in UK and Australia? The presentation will be introduced by Nicola Hodgman and you have the opportunity to attend face-to-face or ‘virtually’ in ‘real time’.
We are also welcoming back the popular Legal lunchbox, which will be looking at privacy law and the Personal Information Protection Act 2004. And we have some last minute places in Managing People and Performance – but you need to be quick as the two-day course starts in Launceston next week.
Also coming up is the IPAA Breakfast and AGM which includes a presentation on Creating Adaptive Government with Professor Peter Shergold AC. This is a great opportunity to hear from one of Australia's most highly regarded and respected public servants..
More information on all our courses is in the attached newsletter – or check out our website.
Happy reading!
