Finally, locals have discovered the reason behind the near-daily occurrence of seeing telephones shaped like the cartoon cat Garfield wash up on the coast of France's Brittany region for the past three decades. Environmental group Ar Viltansou found a cave that contains a lost shipping container that fell off of a cargo ship in 1983 full of Garfield phones, which have been floating ashore ever since.
