Mount Pleasant Towne Centre sold for $147 million

Continental Realty Corp. has acquired Mount Pleasant Towne Centre for approximately $147 million. The Beach Co. in Charleston is also an investor in the acquisition of the open-air regional shopping center.

CofC, USC Upstate to offer biology-nursing dual degree

The University of South Carolina-Upstate and the College of Charleston will partner to offer a dual-degree program that will enable students at the college to earn a biology degree and a nursing degree.

New York City-based hospitality group JF Restaurants is opening its first Charleston restaurant this fall. The Loyal will open on the ground floor of the Greystar building at 465 Meeting St. in downtown Charleston.
