The Citadel prepares to replace Capers Hall

The Citadel is planning to demolish Capers Hall, one of the most utilized academic buildings on campus, next year and replace it with a more modern facility. Replacing Capers Hall will give the college an additional 30,000 square feet, updated pedagogical tools and a 250-seat performing arts auditorium.

FedEx CEO optimistic about recovery as e-commerce booms

FedEx CEO Fred Smith said he’s optimistic there is enough business activity on which the economy can build going forward, but he isn’t sure if the economy’s recovery will be a slow recovery or a prolonged downturn.

Anson Restaurant will reopen for in-house dining today. Located at 12 Anson St. in downtown Charleston, the restaurant will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays beginning 5 p.m. Curbside to-go is also available from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
