Online public meeting on 526 opens Wednesday

The S.C. Department of Transportation is asking individuals and businesses to offer input on the future of the Interstate 526 East Corridor via an online public meeting. This stretch of 526, from Chuck Dawley Boulevard in Mount Pleasant to Virginia Avenue in North Charleston, is one of the busiest sections of the Mark Clark Expressway. The online meeting will include information about how the corridor works today and information about possible changes. The S.C. DOT is also asking for input in a survey as part of the meeting, to see how the agency’s data aligns with real-world experiences for drivers on the corridor.
