EnviroMix, which makes water and wastewater treatment systems, has been acquired by GEF Capital Partners. The global investor will gain controlling interest in EnviroMix’s wastewater technology.

Lowes continues S.C. expansion in West Ashley, Hanahan

The Winston-Salem, N.C., grocery store chain is purchasing Bi-Lo stores in West Ashley and Hanahan to convert the locations to Lowes Foods stores by next summer. The company owns stores across the state, including in Summerville and Mount Pleasant.

Santee Cooper, Westinghouse reach equipment settlement

An agreement finalized Friday will give Santee Cooper ownership of all non-nuclear equipment associated with the V.C. Summer nuclear project. Santee Cooper and Westinghouse will split net proceeds from the sale of nuclear equipment.

International Paper Co. investing $175M in Eastover mill

The investment by the Tennessee-based company will help with costs as well as environmental and maintenance initiatives during the next 10 years. The mill has approximately 700 employees and makes an annual economic impact estimated at $90 million.
