IFA Group expands Berkeley County facility

German automotive supplier IFA Group is more than doubling its facility at the Charleston Trade Center in Summerville to allow the company to consolidate its S.C. operations into one location. The facility that will be doubled is a 211,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility the company opened in March 2018.

Lawsuit over hotel ends in settlement, project changes

Historic Charleston Foundation has settled a lawsuit against the Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals over its decision to approve the construction of a 252-room hotel on Meeting Street. The developer has agreed to comply with a new hotel ordinance amendment.

City to host workshops to assist with plastics transition

Charleston is holding two workshops to provide businesses with tools and resources to assist with the transition to the single-use plastics ban that goes into effect Jan. 1. The city also plans to host workshops for residents later this year.
